Sunday Worship

We meet together for worship every Sunday at 10.45 am. Services are usually led by the minister or a local preacher. Sometimes our worship follows a fairly traditional pattern whilst, on other occasions, it is more contemporary but there's always something for everyone.

Sunday School

We have an activity for children and young people every Sunday which runs concurrently with the Sunday service. The service begins with everyone together before the children and young people go to another part of the building for their own activities. Amongst many other things, we have lots of stories and do craft work, drama and music. We also take time to discuss how the teaching of the Bible should be interpreted and applied in our lives. A greater emphasis is placed on this as the children grow older.

Bible Study Fellowship

We meet every Wednesday evening at 7.00 pm to study the Bible together. This is a united activity with our friends from Codnor and Marehay Methodist Churches so, if you would like to join us, please check with us first to determine the correct location.

Prayer

Prayer is a constant part of Christian life on both an individual and collective basis and we meet virtually by telephone every Saturday morning at 10.30 am to pray about our concerns for the local community and the wider world.

The exception to this is the first Saturday of each month when we join with our friends from the Methodist Churches at Codnor, Marehay and Ripley and pray together in this wider group.

To join the virtual Prayer Meeting, all you need is a phone.  You join from your home, your car, your garden or anywhere else.  Please contact us via this website for details of how to join in.

In addition, our Prayer Chain can be used to mobilise our congregation between services and activities to pray for any person or situation as required.  If you have a prayer request, please contact us.

Tea & Chat

Our 'drop in' session held on Thursday afternoons from 2 pm to 4 pm gives everyone a chance to call in, have refreshments and share conversation. All are welcome whether you have two minutes or two hours.

Stay and Play

Pre-school age children and their parents and carers meet every Wednesday afternoon in school term time from 1.30 pm to 3 pm. We have books, puzzles, crafts, 'ride on' toys and much more.

Table Tennis - Facebook

We have a very active Table Tennis Club which is affiliated to ETTA, provides qualified coaching to all ages and abilities and fields teams in the Derby & District Leagues.
